The push-up may have fallen off the radar on most strength programs, but it’s still a powerful addition to any fitness plan.

How many pushups can you do? 20 or 30? 50? More? Perhaps you are one of the unlucky ones who can only do five reps with questionable form.

Say the word “exercise” and the push-up will inevitably be seen as the movement of choice. For decades, and possibly centuries, men have called the push-up a real test of strength, not to mention machismo. How much easier can it be to just drop on the floor and pump yourself?
